Title Great Demand for Plays for Amateurs. British Drama League Festival.
Abstract/Description ELEVEN amateur groups have entered plays for the British Drama League Festival, which opens in Sydney to-day. Some of the groups entered as many as four plays each in the festival, and preliminary judging has already been carried out by the seven judges, Miss J. Ranken, Mr. C. T. Parkinson, Mr. Harry Tighe (members of the festival and competitions committee), and Mrs. J. Adamson, Miss Alice Gould, and Messrs. George Blackwood and George Cassidy.
