[Soldiers of the Cross] |
Abstract/Description |
In the Town-hall this evening "Commandant" Booth will deliver what promises to be an interesting lecture, entitled "The Soldiers of the Cross." Two hundred pictures are to illustrate the lecture. The slides have been prepared by the army, and
are mostly life models. The theme chosenis that of the early Christians, and embraces the self-denial of their lives and their
triumph in death. The stoning of Stephen is to be shown by cinematograph, whilst 13 other living pictures will take the audience back in a most realistic manner to the early persecution of the Christians in Rome. Suitable musical numbers will he given during the evening, and a crowded house is expected. |
