Description Also known as Out From Under, as the sequel to Down Under The Thumb. Down and Out From Under is about a family in conflict. Can the family, whose social and moral values formed over hundreds of years in another country, survive the demands made by the rapidly changing social and economic forces of contemporary Australian life? This work continues Sidetrack's theatrical examination, begun in another work Down Under The Thumb, of the relationship between institutions and the migrant family. Are institutions and the people who run them capable of the changes necessary to ensure that they reflect.
