Description |
Brian Friel's play is a dramatic construction based on the events of what came to be known as Bloody Sunday, January 30, 1972, when British paratroopers shot 28 civil rights marchers in Londonderry, killing 14 of them. 'The Freedom of the City' imagines what happens to three of the marchers on the day. |
