| Description |
Byron's poem, The Island, or, Christian and his comrades (1823) was based, according to Byron, partly on "the Mutiny of the Bounty in the South Seas (in 1789)" and also on Mariner's An Account of the Natives of the Tonga Islands (1817). This playbill advertises with several other plays, "Neuha's Cave", a dramatic rendering of Byron's poem. |
