Description A corroboree took place by one of the few remaining bands of aborigines and was advertised as a special feature in connection with a public-house in Prahran. It took place in the wrestling grounds opposite the Myall Hotel (Commercial Road & Punt Road). Aboriginals were kept for some days at the Inn. They feasted on meat and drink to repletion besides receiving clothes and small sums of money.

Further Information Venue - Myall Hotel on the corner of Commercial & Punt Roads chosen as it had a "wrestling ground" opposite. Also the 12 Sept article states 1-2 weeks ago and "The Fifties" states August 1957 so we estimate the date around the end of August.
