Description A crowd of 30 natives landed on the wharf with five cakes of copper which had accidentally dropped out of the slings into the river last year on the 28th of November while the steamer Boomerang was loading for Sydney. Mr Wood from the agents gave them a sovereign (£1) for retrieving the copper and when the last cake was fished out a grand corroboree took place in honour of the event.
