Basic Search

Enter your search words

Enter some words for your search. A good way to start is to enter some words from the name of:

Click the search button or hit enter to perform your search. AusStage will retrieve all the events which match your search words.

To focus your search, you may also select from the following options.

Search for

Select what you want to search for.

Search words using

Select how you would like the words to be used in your search.

Sort results by

Select how you would like the results to be sorted.

Restrict by year

Enter a year (e.g. 1999) or year range (e.g. 2002 - 2012) for the events or resources you want to find.

Capitalisation

The word search is not case sensitive. Variations in capitalisation will not affect the search results.

Diacritics

The word search is flexible with diacritics. For example, searching for 'Francois' will find 'Fran├žois' and vice versa.

Event Search

An event is a discrete happening, defined by title, date and venue, typically a performance or run of performances at a venue. Multiple presentations of the same production at different venues (e.g. touring productions) are recorded as separate events.

Use Event Search to search for specific events. Provide enough information to identify the event or set of events you wish to retrieve.

The search returns a list of Events matching the information you provide. The more information you provide, the narrower your search. If your search retrieves no results, try providing less information.

Resource Search

A resource is a review, programme, photograph, video, book, article, collection etc. Resources convey information about events, contributors, organisations and venues. Some resources exist as individual items stored in collections (e.g. programs, posters, photographs). Other resources exist as multiple copies in libraries (books, journals, articles and so on).

Use Resource Search to search for specific resources. Provide enough information to identify the resource or set of resources you wish to retrieve.

The search returns a list of Resources matching the information you provide. The more information you provide, the narrower your search. If your search retrieves no results, try providing less information.
