Description |
The impetus behind writing the play was to represent the continuing effects of adoption on the lives of women who became known as ?birth mothers?. Emotions of loss, grief, shame and guilt experienced at the time of adoption are a constant throughout the lives of most birth mothers. In She?s Not Performing, the central character of Margarite grapples with her own mental health and transitory, dysfunctional relationships. |
