Description |
Mathematical logic on stage, inspired by the life and work of the mathematician Kurt Godel, a close friend of Einstein, was one of the great geniuses of the 20th century. Throughout his life, Kurt Gödel suffered from hypochondria and nervous disorders, which degenerated into paranoia in his later years. When he died in 1978, Gödel weighed only 80 pounds. Despite his profoundly subtle, logical and rational mind, he had starved himself to death. He believed his doctors were trying to poison him. |
