This was a repeat performance for the Launceston audience. "The Man of Destiny" presented by the Launceston Players was awarded first place, the Fay Compton Cup, at the 1947 Sydney Drama Festival. Actor Hugh Duncan was awarded the Norman Maxwell Cup for the best individual male performance. "Heaven on Earth" appears on the same programme. The details have been entered separately.
