| Description |
Georg Buchner was a young German radical who died at the age of 23 in 1837. "Woyzeck" was recently noticed when it opened in Adelaide Festival of Arts as Alban Berg's opera "Wozzeck". We have not tried to finish the script. More we have taken the two main characters - Woyzeck and Marie - and explored their relationship. Past, present and future. The destruction of the relationship. The human struggle with loneliness. Spiritual needs. The question of man and woman. |
