Description |
Frothier than whipped cream, lighter than shuffle, Fledermaus radiates hummable melodies, warmth, fun, and vitality. Created by the Waltz King, Strauss, Fledermaus is the dizzyingly silly story of Eisenstein who would rather party than go to goal; his wife Rosalinda who is keen to teach him a lesson; and their pert maid Adele, whose eye for the main chance is unwavering. Then there are the high society types who move with ease between ballroom and prison cell. The glace cherry on top of this confection is the gleaming atmosphere created by Lindy Hume's spirited production set in 1930's Manhattan. |
