Description |
"The two works presented share freshness, wit - and most importantly in this age of effects and spectacle - a concern with how the human body inhabits its space"
"Fast Idol choreographed by Gideon Obarzanek. Relationships between the idol and the idolized. A dance for sublime pathetic and perverted romantics.
Spectre in the Covert Memory choreographed by Garry Stewart is a multi-media dance piece that draws inspiration from the impact of past memories on present experience. The work is surrealist and dream like in tone. Its images and textures evoke a subconscious landscape where the dancers are propelled throughout the piece into paroxysms of movement like a mind grappling with the perplexity of its hidden contents." |
