Description |
Baron Ferdinand von Mueller, Australia's most famous botanist, is the subject of this whimsical musical biography. It is staged in the hall that bears his name, in the Botanic Gardens of which he was the director for nearly 16 years, and in which he never again set foot after that position was abolished. The other disappointments in his life were many, as were his achievements, but this production focuses largely on the blossoming of his romantic involvements, none of which came to marital fruition. |
