Description |
A magic show for children, staged during the summer holidays. Patrick (Ross Skiffington) needs a job, and decides to become a magician. He meets a succession of colourful magicians on his journey, until he finally performs his act (including pulling a rabbit out of a hat). The show ran for a little over an hour and included audience participation. Reviewing the Canberra season in 1977, Alanna Maclean claimed that the show "could serve equally well to introduce children to the magic of theatre and to remind adults that it still exists" (The Canberra Times, 21 December, 1977). |
