Description Under the Artistic Direction of Stephen Page, Australia’s leading Indigenous performing arts company, Bangarra Dance Theatre, is thrilled to announce it will perform in Vietnam as part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam. The tour is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian International Cultural Council (AICC), an initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Vietnam is the AICC's focus country program for 2013. The program is showcasing Australia’s creativity and diversity and is creating a platform for future exchange and collaboration.

Spirit weaves storytelling, dance, theatre and music into an unforgettable theatrical experience. This breathtaking production draws together the best of Bangarra Dance Theatre's internationally acclaimed repertoire. Inspired by the beauty and spirituality of Australia's rich indigenous culture. Bangarra's stunning originality has mesmerised audiences from New York and Beijing to Alice Springs. Spirit encompasses the soul of Bangarra and will enthral and delight.


Gala concerts featuring Bangarra Dance Theatre performing Spirit were held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Bangarra also participated in workshops with under-privileged youth and with Vietnamese dancers. Receptions were also organised for selected guests attended the concerts in Hanoi and HCMC.
