Description |
Questioning morality, the power of love and forgiveness, Igor Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress was inspired by William Hogarth's series of famous drawings of early London life. It tells the tale of Tom Rakewell, a man who succumbs to temptation by the devious Nick Shadow and deserts his betrothed, Anne Truelove. |
