Description Strange Fruit was described in France as being "like living statues soaring between heaven and earth... their heads in the sky, hearts close to the sun... brilliantly eclectic images that pay homage to Michelangelo, Mary Poppins, Folon, and Magritte." In Germany it was hailed as captivating audiences with "fascinating images, breathtaking dynamics, athletic movement, evocative gestures and illuminating faces - as if they strived to capture and tame the wind itself".

From 24-26 October, as part of Ancient Future - Australian Arts Festival Japan 2003, Strange Fruit will perform the Japan premier of "The Field" and "Spheres" at Tokyo's new Roppongi Hills. Strange Fruit promises to charm audiences with their wistful, funny, and breathtaking performances atop 5-metre high flexible poles. From 31 October-3 November, Strange Fruit will also perform at the Shizuoka World Cup outdoor performance festival.

Over the past 6 years Strange Fruit has achieved a reputation throughout the world for its unique performances that combine dance, circus, and spectacle in a highly accessible and entertaining way. The company has performed for over 200 international festivals and events in more than 30 countries in Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, and Australasia.

Strange Fruit has toured Japan several times, performing at the Mediage Millennium Entertainment Season in Tokyo, Golden Week at Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki, and the Biwako Hall Opening Event in Shiga.
