Description |
"Love for Love" was performed by the Sydney University Dramatic Society In the Union Hall at the University. This sparkling play by the outstanding wit of the Restoration Wits was not nearly so amusing as one had anticipated, chiefly owing to discomfort to eye and ear; the electricians failed In the first quality of theatrical lighting- illumination- and there was a deplorable deficiency of audibility. Then, too, an unexpected proportion of the acting was of the most raw class, and as a consequence many of the dramatist's most brilliant remarks were not made meaningful. |
