Description |
Following its acclaimed tour with the Australian Chamber in 1993, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir returns once again with the ACO for the 1999 Melbourne Festival.
Under charismatic conductor Tonu Kuljuste, the choir has become famous as a leading exponent of the remarkable music of its compatriot Arvo Part. His Berlin Mass, scored for choir and strings, is perfect for these joint forces and is paired with a passionate string work by Peteris Vasks, another popular composer from the neighbouring Baltic country of Latvia. |
