Description |
Kurt Elling has been described as the most daring and imaginative jazz singer on the scene today. His repertoire is a remarkable blend of songs, vocalese (lyrics shaped to jazz instrumentals), poetry, scat solos and stream-of-consciousness verbal improvisations. Elling took the jazz world by storm in 1995 with his Grammy nominated Blue Note debut Close Your Eyes. His follow up albums The Messenger and Love Stories confirmed that at thirty-one, he is an artist with a great future, who demands to be heard right now. |
